Forget Me Not Cottage by the Sea have provided these recent recipes, extracts are from the book and the first of a series by local artist and home cook Georgina Jones from Lavender House.
The book is a recollection of Gina’s life growing up in a small Welsh cottage and contains stories, recipes, craft projects and illustrations of her childhood spent on a smallholding on Pen Llyn.
Not only is the book a great kitchen companion, full of comforting, homely recipes, it’s also packed full of humorous stories of the struggles and hardships Gina’s family endured, with 12 rescue cats, two dogs, a flock of chickens, and a goat named Zita, for company.
Gina recalls the make do and mend attitude of her family as they cooked and crafted around the farmhouse table in this feel good, nostalgic tale of a country childhood in Wales.
